Ingredients
  • 1 cup masa harina
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 pound queso blanco
  • 2 oz caviar
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt
Method
  • Place cornmeal, boiling water, yogurt and salt in a bowl; Mix with a fork for 30 seconds or until it forms a paste. Let stand 5 minutes. Knead with your hand for one more minute and form a ball.
  • Make a hole in the dough and add the cheese; Knead 1 minute more with your hand and divide one tablespoon-sized balls. Build 24 balls.
  • Place the balls on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil and flatten with the lid of a pot or by hand, each of the balls until you get a thickness of 1⁄4 in. or as desired for your taste.
  • Bake at 375°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown, turn and cook 5 more minutes. Transfer to a serving tray. They can be served warm or at room temperature. Add some Greek yogurt or sour cream , some and caviar and serve.
