Ingredients
  • 2 small pitas breads, halved (2 ½ inches)
  • 1 Recipe Yogurt Sesame Sauce (pg. 35) approx. 3 tablespoon
  • 3 oz. smoked tuna (1 package)
  • ¼ cup shredded white cheddar
  • 2 leaves red freckled lettuce or your choice
  • Ginger Sesame Spread
  • 2 tbsp Plain Yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon minced pickled ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon dark sesame oil
  • pinch Salt and pepper
  • Salt and pepper 1/8 teaspoon
Method
  • Cut the pitas in half. Toast if desired. Spread each side with Yogurt (Dairy or Vegan) Sesame Sauce.
  • Arrange tuna, cheese and lettuce over one half, cover place in toaster oven for 2 minutes. Press and serve.
